The in-between stage of being young yet no longer so young is a complex phase to say the least. It is a time for more realities and less fantasies. A time of accomplishments and epic failures. A time of slowly marinated self-acceptance and self-discovery.
Inside The Head is a personal project that I initiated together with Denisse Ariana Pérez. The online publication is supposed to be a homage to the lives and struggles of young adults. The verses featured in the project are divided in seven chapters; Age, Body, Sex, Mind, Friendship, Love, Family.

When designing the publication we wanted to bring the people behind the stories to life and visualize their words in an abstract yet human manner. This resulted in the creation of responsive illustrations that represented the different chapters. The illustrations came to life with animation and strong vibrant colors.
